Sports Premium
What is the PE and Sport Premium?
The PE and Sport Premium is additional funding provided by the Government to help primary schools improve the quality of the PE, physical activity and sport opportunities they offer to pupils.
The funding was introduced following Britain's success at the Olympic Games and is designed to create sustainable improvements in Physical Education, helping schools to raise standards and increase participation in sport and physical activity.
The premium enables schools to enhance the quality of PE teaching, provide a wider range of sporting opportunities, encourage healthy lifestyles and ensure that children develop positive attitudes towards physical activity that will stay with them throughout their lives.
