Our Curriculum
At Ashby Fields Primary School, we have developed a curriculum that reflects the needs, experiences and aspirations of our community. Our curriculum delivers all statutory requirements set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework and the National Curriculum, while providing rich and meaningful learning experiences that inspire every child to achieve their full potential.
Our school values underpin our curriculum and everything we do at Ashby Fields. We believe that education is a journey, and we are committed to supporting children as they grow into confident, resilient and lifelong learners.
From the very beginning of their learning journey in the Early Years, we ensure that every child feels Safe, Happy and Loved. We believe that when these foundations are firmly established, children are able to develop positive behaviour, manage their emotions effectively and flourish both academically and personally.
Our curriculum is designed to support pupils in:
- Building knowledge and developing skills across all areas of learning
- Maintaining positive physical and mental wellbeing
- Developing high self-esteem and strong self-regulation skills
- Having the motivation to achieve their goals and the determination to succeed
Our school motto, "We Learn, We Love, We Laugh Together," lies at the heart of our approach and reflects the positive, nurturing environment we strive to create for every child.
