Who are the Friends of Ashby Fields?
The Friends of Ashby Fields Primary School is our Parent Teacher Association (PTA).
The Friends help bring together parents, teachers and the wider community to support the school through fundraising events and activities. Their fundraising efforts help provide additional resources, equipment and opportunities that enhance the children's experiences in school.
The Friends are an important part of our school community and play a key role in supporting school events throughout the year.
Fundraising Events
Over the years, the Friends have organised many successful events, including:
- Summer Fetes
- Christmas Fetes
- Quiz Nights
- Food Evenings
- Fashion Shows
- Cinema Nights
- And many more community events
These events not only raise valuable funds for the school but also provide fantastic opportunities for families to come together and be involved in school life.
How Funds Have Helped
Historically, the Friends of Ashby Fields Primary School have helped purchase numerous pieces of equipment and important resources for the school that may not otherwise have been possible.
The support provided through their fundraising activities continues to benefit children across the school.
How Can You Help?
The Friends committee is open to everyone.
There are many ways you can support the Friends, including:
- Becoming a committee member
- Helping at fundraising events
- Assisting with planning and organisation
- Sharing ideas for future events
- Volunteering when you have time available
You do not need to commit to regular involvement. Any support, whether occasional or ongoing, is greatly appreciated.
